E-commerce — toys & baby care

Peppa Toys

A kids toys and baby care store solved as a taxonomy problem: shop by age, shop by gender, shop by occasion.

Live site: peppa-toys.com

The problem

Nobody shops for toys by browsing toys. They shop for a four-year-old girl’s birthday next Saturday. A toy store with hundreds of SKUs across toys, baby care, educational games and gifts becomes unusable the moment it is organised the way the warehouse is organised instead of the way a parent thinks. Get the taxonomy wrong and a big catalogue actively loses sales.

What was built

  • A large category taxonomy with multiple entry points into the same catalogue — shop by age, shop by gender, and a "Shop by category" carousel that lets a parent pick a toy world.
  • Separate departments for toys, baby care essentials, educational games, school equipment and gifts, each with its own landing rather than one flat product list.
  • Split hero lanes for New Arrivals and Baby Care, and a "New toys added weekly" banner — the reason to come back.
  • A promotion system driving real campaigns on the homepage, such as the sitewide 40% off offer.
  • A bright, trustworthy storefront design aimed at parents — safety and quality messaging carried visually, not buried in text.
  • Full SEO metadata and Open Graph so the store is findable for toy and baby-product searches in Lebanon.

The result

A parent can land on Peppa Toys and get to the right shelf in two taps — by age or by gender — instead of scrolling a catalogue built for a stockroom.
